I joined Tri Delta in the Spring of 2017 and just a few short months later, this organization has already taught me so much about who I am and who I strive to be, and has connected me with amazing and inspiring women. Tri Delta has helped me feel more grounded to my university, feeling more involved in campus activities. Rooted in the notion that Tri Delta wants to “assist its members in every possible way,” I know that no matter what may be going on in my life, from stress about personal matters and academics, to simply needing someone to talk to, I can go to any of my sisters and know that they will support me. Being surrounded by like-minded women who share my values has helped me feel as if I have a place in my college environment, as well as friends that I can carry for the rest of my life. Tri Delta’s program entitled BodyImage3D is another reason why I decided to join and has encouraged me to practice self-love, break down negative images, and to accept myself and those around me. This organization has helped me see that I have a greater purpose in this world, extending further than myself. Tri Delta’s strong commitment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Epsilon Nu’s commitment to Children’s Hospital in Orange County, has fostered a stronger desire in me to help those affected by cancer. By spending time around women devoted to helping others, I have been inspired to dedicate my life to such causes. I enjoy feeling as if I am something bigger, both helping people around the world, as well as being a part of a Greek community that selflessly supports charities around them.
Joining Tri Delta has not only enriched my life as a whole - it has given direction and meaningfulness to my journey to find a fulfilling career path. Going into college I was interested in working with youth in a variety of capacities. Becoming assistant philanthropy chair my first year and having the opportunity to visit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis only helped reaffirm that interest! Planning philanthropic events and working closely with our chapter’s St. Jude reps opened so many doors for me - and it was one of those doors that helped me secure a summer internship with St. Jude’s fundraising division - ALSAC. Never in a million years would I have thought that I’d be interning for the organization that has brought me so much joy through this sorority. I am so proud to call myself a Tri Delta, and am forever grateful for the opportunities I have been given!
Ever since I joined Tri Delta, it has served as a second home to me. Being from out of state, I just thought it would be a fast way to meet people. However, these people ended up becoming some of my best friends and sisters for a lifetime. Another big part of my decision was our philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I grew up supporting the cause and even know children and families who have been able to go to St. Jude for the help they need and know some currently receiving treatment. Knowing that Tri Delta serves as a strong contributor to St. Jude brings me so much joy and being involved with the hospital with my sisters makes it all the more while. We provide a home away from home for these kids and Tri Delta at Chapman did the same for me.
I joined Tri Delta because it felt like home. Everyone welcomed me with open arms and accepted me for who I am. Tri Delta is filled with supportive women who have pushed me and helped me achieve my goals. I can't imagine my life without all the love and friendship that Tri Delta has given me. I am so grateful and proud to be a part of this amazing group of women.
Joining Tri Delta was the best decision I’ve made during my time at Chapman. I always knew I wanted to join a sorority because my grandmother, who is a member of a different chapter, has always talked about the amazing times she had with her sisters during college and beyond. Because I had been hearing about sororities for so many years, I knew that this was something I was interested in. I am also an only child so I felt that it was especially important for me to make those meaningful connections during my college years. I fell in love with Tri Delta on Philanthropy Day because every member I talked to was so passionate about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the work they did to assist them. I fell even more in love with Tri Delta after I joined and was flooded with messages from girls who wanted to get to know me. The most rewarding part of my Tri Delta experience has been being able to serve as a leader within the chapter. Leadership was never something I was originally interested in, but once I joined Tri Delta, I thought “why not” and decided to go for it. Since then, I have served as New Member Educator, Continuing Education Chair, and Vice President of Administration. These positions have helped me grow not only as a leader, but as a person in more ways than I could have ever imagined. It has been such an honor to know that my chapter saw potential in me to grow and succeed as a leader. I’ve very excited to use what I’ve learned as an officer (i.e. professionalism, communication skills, etc.) in my future career. While personal growth is something I value highly, I believe that the best part of Tri Delta has been the relationships that I’ve made. I’ve found my best friends here, my current/past roommates, and my future bridesmaids. I can’t even imagine how different my college experience would have been if I wasn’t a member of Tri Delta. One thing is for sure--I’d definitely have a lot less t-shirts in my collection!
I chose Tri Delta because of all the love and warmth I felt from the members during recruitment. There was an instant connection with all the people I met and you could tell they were interested in getting to know the genuine me. I feel so happy that I found my home here in the sorority and I have never regretted my decision for a moment. I met my best friends here and I made amazing connections that I never would have found otherwise. Being in Tri Delta has opened me up to new people and experiences and has forever changed who I am as a person and the path my life will take. Within Tri Delta I have found amazing women with big dreams and open hearts.
Tri Delta has given me a place to call home on campus and has put amazing, genuine sisters in my life who I maybe wouldn't have met otherwise. I love that our chapter brings so many different kinds of women together, and I can't imagine my college experience without it!
I chose Tri Delta because during recruitment on Philanthropy Day I really connected with the member I was talking to and we both started crying about St. Jude! Being able to connect and express a love for something so quickly meant a lot to me. After getting my bid, I was able to meet so many awesome sisters who I know I can always go to for anything no matter how awful of a day it is. I have found some of my best friends in Tri Delta (especially my big and my littel!) and I have even lived with Tri Deltas.
I found a home in Tri Delta because I felt as if I could be myself around this group of women without being judged or left out. I am also given the ability to take the talents I have and put them to use to benefit the chapter as a whole and grow as a leader. Joining Tri Delta has already benefitted me in many ways and my love for this chapter only grows everyday.
I chose Tri Delta because the importance of philanthropy to the women in our chapter is inspirational. The huge contributions Tri Delta makes to St. Jude made me want to be a part of such caring and dedicated women. This was a chapter where I found that "being in a sorority" is more than formals and socials. This is an organization where I saw I could grow as a woman and a leader with the help of a strong and supportive sisterhood.
